Tokyo and beyond

With 25 years of experience in the tourism and business –travel industry, fluency in English, Japanese, French and Dutch and extensive knowledge of Japanese culture, geography and lifestyle, it has long been my dream to help others have the same incredible experiences of beauty and hospitality I was lucky to have in Japan.

While taking a degree in Japan Studies at the Catholic University of Leuven in Belgium, I achieved a small scholarship and moved to Tokyo to further my studies while I lived with a Japanese family.

Returning to Europe as a fluent Japanese speaker, I began working as a guide and interpreter for upmarket Japanese travel agencies taking Japanese tourists around the Benelux and then the UK after qualifying as Blue Badge Guide in England.

Having studied Japanese business culture in Japan, I began coordinating conferences onsite in Tokyo, Yokohama and Kyoto and advised several Western businesses visiting Japan on Japanese business culture and etiquette.

Throughout my life Japan has been a favourite holiday destination of mine and I have travelled extensively all over the country and discovered many gems I would like to share with you.
